1975 SMITH & WESSON Brass Belt Buckle, "THE HOSTILES".
This sought after collectible is the Smith & Wesson Model 600 brass belt buckle that features the most famous of a series of paintings commissioned by Smith & Wesson at the turn of the century. Pictures a Ranger being pursued across a river by hostile Indians which symbolizes the dependability of a quality handgun and illustrates the important role that S&W played in the westward expansion and development of the United States. The Hostiles was chosen as the subject for the first S&W promotional poster. This poster today is one of the most sought after items by S&W collectors. This is the first authorized S&W belt buckle measuring 3 1/4" x 2 1/2" and up to a 1 3/4" belt. The original box has great advertising graphics "Smith & Wesson, A Bangor Punta Company, Springfield, Mass."
