Hi...I'm Cathy Penick, owner and manager of the Coal Mine Restaurant & Catering, located at 606 N. Commerce Street, Bremond (254-746-7162) inviting you to dine with us at one of the most memorable restaurants in Central Texas!
We're on the North side of HW 14 on the east end of town. Plenty of parking on the busiest of days!
Great wall decor! Local and national history on display. Every wall is different so you'll want a different table on each visit!
Even the Indian Chief likes it at the Coal Mine. You can catch him there most days!
Our family owned and operated restaurant in Bremond, Texas serves home cooked meals from your basic burgers to Texas steaks (T-bones to chicken fried steaks) with prime cuts of Angus Beef with all the trimmings all at reasonable prices.

Angus Beef has the unique combination of exceptional leanness & fine marbling that makes it truly a cut above the rest. It's a difference you'll taste with each and every juicy bite of our angus beef steaks.
Check out our selection of home-baked pies and desserts. We have Coconut, Chocolate or Lemon Meringue pies, New York Cheesecake, Turtle Fudge cheesecake (my personal favorite), fried pocket pies (with a scoop of ice cream!), chocolate-dipped cones, sundaes, Banna Splits, malts and shakes.
On the lighter side, our menu includes such salads as Santa Fe, Taco, and grilled shrimp caesar, all you can eat salad bar, our country vegetable plate, chicken, seafood, and lean steaks including our famous 16 ounce T-Bone!
