Chaps measure approximately 36 inches from the top of the waist to the bottom of the chaps. The chaps have great patina but are in good condition for being well over a hundred years old. Old West Era Batwing chaps
Vintage old west era rawhide leather batwing chaps which have seen a lot of long work days in the saddle brush, branding and mending fence. The stitching appears to be by hand with some old repairs and the leather is full grain rawhide cowhide with heavy strap leather yokes and 3 anchor snaps and rings on each leg. The chaps measure approximately 38 inches from the top of the waist to the bottom. The inseam is approximately 29" and the hip belting is adjustable from 28" to 42" (plus or minus). The leg closures are 3 each chap snaps with rings and nickel silver conches on the outer leg secured with knotted thongs. These bat wing styled chaps feature a 7" deep by 7" wide pocket, with knot fasteners, below each yoke for carrying tools, staples, or other ranch hand needs. The taupe patina of the leather oozes authenticity and feel of the "Old West." Great to display any western collection or decor or will "Cowboy Up" for current use.

Great old west collectible- This is a rugged set of chaps (most likely bull hide) with pockets. The chaps measure approx 35.5 inches and the inseam is 26 inches. 150 year old shotgun chaps that once travelled the Chisholm trail
These antique Chisholm Trail shotgun chaps are approx. a hundred and fifty years old and according to accompanying documentation, once belonged to Dudley Snyder of Georgetown, Texas in the 1867-1880 era. The chaps are heavily embossed and evidence of many old repairs over the years. The chaps have bone or ivory buttons and in relatively good shape for their age. The chaps measure approx. 37 inches in length. The Chisholm Trail was the major route out of Texas for livestock from 1867 to 1884. The Chisholm Trail was finally closed by barbed wire and an 1885 Kansas quarantine law. These chaps represent a very unique old west collectible and a chance to own a piece of history.
